Outlaws Battle to the Wire in Home Thriller, Fall 43-37 to Salina Liberty
Electric Crowd Powers Close Fight; Roster Moves Coming Ahead of May 3rd Road Trip
The Billings Outlaws went toe-to-toe with the Salina Liberty in a high-energy showdown on April 25th at TDS Fiber Field, falling just short in a 43-37 heartbreaker.
Backed by an incredible home crowd, the Outlaws fed off the noise and passion in the stands all night long. Fans packed the house and brought the volume, creating an electric atmosphere that pushed the team deep into a back-and-forth battle.
The game was a thriller from start to finish. While the final result didn’t fall in Billings favor, the effort on the field and energy in the building showed just how tough this team, and this fanbase, really is.
There were plenty of highlights for the Outlaws:
- #6 Dean Faithfull lit things up with a deuce, energizing the crowd early.
- #11 Kenneth Brewer III was nearly unstoppable, racking up three touchdowns.
- #5 Jevin Frett and #22 Keith Nemasango each added scores of their own.
- On defense, #28 Shay McRath delivered a crucial QB sack, slowing Salina’s tempo.
Despite the explosive plays, the Outlaws couldn’t quite close the gap in the final minutes.
“We had our chances,” said Head Coach Cedric Walker. “The guys fought, the fans showed out, we just didn’t finish. We’ve got work to do and changes are coming.”
With several key roster changes expected this week, the team is shifting focus quickly to the next challenge: a road test against the Southwest Kansas Storm.
